Just in time for Fall…

Not to burst your summer-time bubble, but Fall is here! Cooler weather is creeping in, pumpkin spice latte’s are back and there is at least one girl in Ug boots and a scarf within 15 feet of you at all times! Fall brings with it many positive attributes: Great holidays ( Halloween, hello !?!) beautiful foliage, crisp cool weather, excellent foods, culture…and did I mention pumpkin spice latte’s !?!

As with anything in life, as much positivity as there is, there are also some not-so-great things as well. During this time of year many people, including myself, experience the effects of seasonal depression. You may have what’s called seasonal affective disorder, commonly known as SAD. The condition is marked by the onset of depression during the late fall and early winter months when less natural sunlight is available. It’s thought to occur when daily body rhythms become out-of-sync because of the reduced sunlight.

If your a squirrely woodland creature such as myself, the onset of Fall is a little concerning…It’s the last bit of time to gather and store your nuts for winter, lol. Sunlight is dwindling and as a creature of the daytime, that’s less time for me to be out and play! And the cold…don’t get me started! I’ve been cleansing my space and preparing my nest for hibernation!

So I thought I would take this time to share with you some of the crystals, some old and some new, that I like to keep by me during these times to help me keep energized, positive and squirrely! So let’s begin…

Keywords: Power, Energy, Clarity

Quartz has been referred to as the “Universal Crystal.” It is a power stone enhancing energy by absorbing, storing, amplifying, balancing, focusing and transmitting. It is extremely beneficial for manifesting, healing, meditation, protection and channeling. Due to its ability to balance, quartz is excellent for harmonizing and balancing one’s environment. Quartz is also perfect for energizing other crystals.

Quartz is a stone of clarity which dispels negativity and clears away all that bad energy. It can be used to purify and clarify on the spiritual, mental and physical planes. It is powerfully protective due to these properties.

Keywords: Increase Self-esteem, Accept change

Bumble Bee Jasper activates the Sacral and Solar Pelxus chakras, enabling you to accept change, find new opportunities, increase your self-esteem and make decisions without relying on emotions.

Physically, Bumble Bee Jasper can help with abdominal issues (After drinking too many Pumpkin Spice Latte’s), allergies, the nervous system, and heart and circulatory system disorders.

Black Tourmaline

Keywords: Cleansing, Purifying, Transforming

Black Tourmaline by far is my favorite crystal of all-time. It is my go-to crystal that I have on my person 99.99% of the time. It is such a powerful crystal that acts as an air purifier. A grounding stone, it filters all the negative bullshit and puts out positive protecting energy. It aids in this removal of negative energies within a person or a space. It cleanses, purifies and transforms dense energy into a lighter vibration. It’s said to keep a piece of black tourmaline by any computer or electronic device as well as this helps to clear any “smog” in your environment.

Crackled Fire Agate

Keywords: Courage, Protection & Strength

Fire Agate is mostly associated with the Sacral and Root chakras. Mystical lore says that it relieves fears, halts gossip and even reflects any threat of harm back to the source.Fire agate can help with spiritual advancement and progression. It promotes and enhances energy, including meditation, ritual, and spiritual healing energies. It also balances masculine (active) and feminine (receptive) energies. Metaphysical healing lore professes that fire agate enhances all healing energies, and assists with healing of the circulatory system, lymph system, intestines. It is also used in crystal healing take the edge off the emotional charge of problems.

These are just a few great crystals to have nearby although there are many more. Remember to charge your crystal with your intent, and spend time meditating with your crystal to attune to its vibrational energies. I often cleanse my crystal whether it be by sun or moonlight, sage or palo santo, and combining meditation and the power of positive prayer or intention. Understand your not alone in this, make plans with friends, get out and play in the leaves, grab a pumpkin spice latte, go on a hike…

And most importantly…don’t forget your crystals 🙂
